When access to a diverse selection of books is restricted, we lose the opportunity to broaden our understanding of the world and build empathy and compassion for the lived experiences of others.

This sticker is a not-so-subtle expression against the banning and restriction of books in public spaces.

About the Event:

Freedom to Read Week (FTRW) is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed to all Canadians under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. 

The FTRW campaign is supported in partnership by Libraries and Archives Canada, Canadian Urban Libraries Council, Ontario Library Association and the Book and Periodical Council.
