Marley launched the #1000BlackGirlBooks drive in November of 2015 with the help of GrassROOTS Community Foundation, leveraging the power of social media to reach a larger audience. The movement went viral worldwide and Marley’s initial goal to collect 1,000 books by February 2016 was easily met and surpassed. So far she has collected over 13,000 books.
