May is Jewish American Heritage Month

May is Jewish American Heritage Month, a time to celebrate Jewish heritage and contributions to American culture, including books. In honor of this event, Sean Rubin has designed this new poster and bookmark depicting family and friends observing Shabbat, adorned with the message “shalom,” the Hebrew word meaning peace and harmony. Sean is the author of Bolivar and illustrator of The Passover Guest by Susan Kusel, which won the 2022 Sydney Taylor Book Award (Picture Book Category).
